Ramatech (ABN 17 585 826 073) of Surfers Paradise, Queensland operates the website at rama.tech. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
We only collect information that we need in order to respond to you and deliver services. That may include:
- your name, and the name of the business or organisation you represent if you are contacting us on behalf of one;
- your phone number, email address and suburb or address;
- the details of the enquiry or fault you describe to us;
- technical details necessary to carry out agreed work, such as device names, system configuration and network settings.
We do not ask for, and you should never send us, passwords, banking details, credit card numbers or identity documents by email or through the enquiry form on this website.
How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you — when you submit the enquiry form on this website, when you telephone or email us, and in the course of carrying out work you have engaged us to do. We do not buy contact lists and we do not make unsolicited contact.
How we use it
We use the information you provide to:
- respond to your enquiry and confirm whether we can assist;
- prepare quotes, schedule attendance and carry out agreed work;
- issue invoices and maintain our business records;
- keep a record of the work performed on your systems so future support is faster and better informed.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
Who we share it with
We disclose personal information only where it is necessary, and only to:
- service providers who help us operate — for example the form-delivery service that passes website enquiries to our email inbox, and our email and accounting providers;
- suppliers, where hardware or a licence must be ordered for you and delivery details are required;
- a person or body where disclosure is required or authorised by Australian law.
We do not disclose your information to overseas recipients other than through the cloud services described above, which may store data outside Australia.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
This website is a set of static pages and does not set cookies of its own. It loads a web font from Google Fonts, which involves a request to Google's servers. If we run advertising, analytics or conversion measurement on a page, that page may load Google tags which set cookies and record that you arrived from an advertisement. You can control or block cookies in your browser settings, and you can review Google's own handling of that data, and opt out of personalised advertising, at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and myadcenter.google.com.
Access during service delivery
Where you engage us to work on your systems, we may need administrative access to devices, accounts or networks. That access is used only for the work you have authorised, for the period required to complete it, and is removed or handed back to you on request. We will never request remote access off the back of an unsolicited call, email or pop-up message — we do not make such contact.
Storage and security
Personal information is held in our email, quoting and accounting systems, which are access-controlled and protected by multi-factor authentication. We take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and job records for as long as needed to provide services and to meet our legal and tax record-keeping obligations, generally a minimum of seven years for financial records. Information we no longer need is deleted or de-identified.
Accessing or correcting your information
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email support@rama.tech or call 0431 810 350 and we will respond within a reasonable period, normally 30 days.
Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at support@rama.tech so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version always appears on this page with the date it was last updated.
